A lovely pale lemon for a cake to welcome twins. Aww.
This was done for local company Magenta, In Cullercoats for their 20th birthday. Thats a great achievement for a company.
The logo & zebra stripe pick up on the design elements for the decor. Very nice.
Is someone you know finishing a course in the Summer ? Do they plan a party ? Should you plan a congratulations cake ? I’ve got 2 orders for graduation cakes, so don’t leave it too late as i’m booking up already. There are all sorts of possibilities for celebration cakes like these – layers of books with a mortar board, books with laptops on, single tier subtle… and all these cakes can be done egg free or gluten free. So what are you waiting for – theyve worked some years for their day in the sun, and all you need to do is call me with an idea. Simples !
OK, i know it was a week or so back, but i’ve been run off my feet doing handbag cakes, cake pops, 3 tier cakes. Wow, what a week. Its my day job so i’m certainly getting lots of practice making cakes. This one was a simple one more in line with the cakes i do for coffee shops. If you look just behind this one – theres another valentines cake. Must be two Geordie lads out there with high emotional intelligence i’d say.
This laser dinghy cake was done for a small group having some training last week. It went down so well that I had to send them home with a portion of the cake in a plastic wedge.
The number on the sail is real – my other half normally sails it from the Haven at Tynemouth.
This martial art cake was ordered by someone helping her friends celebrating getting their 2nd Dan black belts in Tae Kwon Do. The cake is classic sponge with white fondant icing and a simple but effective iconic image. The cake is stenciled with “congratulations” and the board has black writing.
What a lovely idea by one of the team. It doesnt take much thought, but will be remembered for years.
Could also be done for Karate, Judo … anything with significant gradings
