With royal icing – its a Christmas cake classic.
Its a while off – but a nice moist Christmas Cake takes time to mature, so I’ve started making them already. If you want an Xmas cake from me this year, give me a buzz and i’ll get the mixing going for you: last orders by Friday 31st October (or if fruit cake is not your thing… its your birthday soon….?).

Two yule logs, the one at the back for someone less keen on chocolate than most has vanilla sponge with strawberry jam & sauce to cover. The chocolate one was a milk chocolate cake with a white chocolate ganache and chocolate frosting. Did you notice how many times the word “chocolate” was in that sentence? I’ll bet it sure tasted like that as well (in fact i know it did after i got an email saying it was delicious).
Apparently these are called Bûche de Noël for french speakers – who knew ?
This gluten free Christmas cake was made for a relative, and has marzipan & white fondant icing, topped with a Christmas scene of a tree and presents. The tree is decorated the same as their tree! Finished with a big bow, it was delivered on a creme coloured cake stand and gift wrapped in cellophane.
This is a nice tasting recipe for a Christmas Cake – then i make sure I’ve got enough time to liberally drench it in brandy. This years was a 7 star brandy from duty free in a Turkish Airport – so you see i really try to make sure the ingredients are great. Add a nice box, and it’ll either taste good for you – or you can give it as a present.
Not sure if this is really a Toon Army Christmas Cake – but it easily could be, and if anyone wants a football themed Christmas cake you know who to contact.
This was for a customer that recently had a fruit cake for a birthday, thought it was yummy & ordered a Christmas Cake at short notice. I figured that would happen a few times, so I made a few extra – they take so long to make from scratch that i’m finding it better to do a few extra so i can keep regular customers happy.

Nearly time for Christmas Cakes to start going to their new homes after many weeks of feeding with brandy to make them nice & moist. Mmmmm.
As a change from last years Santa going down the chimney Christmas Cake theme, i designed this theme for this year. The tree & bush on the cake are just different sizes of stars – you need a lot of cutters but the end result is great.
This is going out in a plain white cardboard box because its too tall for the boxes i’m using on the others.
